Booksellers: Please help us celebrate your favorite Midwest books of the year!
It's time to nominate titles for the Midwest Booksellers Choice Awards. These awards reflect your bookselling knowledge and passion, as bookseller members personally get behind the books they love. The authors will be recognized at our awards ceremony in October at the Heartland Fall Forum in Cleveland, Ohio.
Our award-winning titles are selected by our booksellers via a two-round process: first, a round of nominations to build the ballot; then, voting on the titles on the ballot to select our winners. First up, nominations . . .
Step 1: Review the criteria for eligible nominations
Step 2: Review the list of publisher nominations
Many publishers have submitted their eligible titles for you to consider. Note that this list is nonexhaustive; it's meant as a resource for you to survey. Please also write in your favorites titles that aren't included on this list.
Step 3: Submit your favorites via the nomination form
Use the form to nominate your favorite titles as described. You can submit up to two titles in each category.
This process is driven by booksellers, not bookstores. Every nomination counts! Please encourage your entire staff to participate.
When the nominations are in, we'll tally the results and booksellers then vote on the finalists to determine a winner. If you have any questions, please contact Kate Scott (firstname.lastname@example.org).
