Flagship Books

Flagship Books is the first independent new and used bookstore in Kansas City, Kansas in several decades. Run by brothers Joel Melgren and Ty Melgren, Flagship Books originally opened in a shipping container in North Kansas City’s Iron District in March 2021. After a successful first year in that small space, the brothers decided to relocate to a larger storefront in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood, where they offer a diverse selection of new and used books.
