Jenny Truax

Jenny grew up camped out on bookstore floors, working her way through Choose Your Own Adventure books and hunting down Star Trek paperbacks. She spent over two decades in a mutual aid collective called Karen House, offering shelter to unhoused folks in north St. Louis. She has spent most of her career in popular education spaces, training equity facilitators with NCCJ St. Louis, leading anti-racism programming with Crossroads Antiracism Organizing and Training, and serving as Director of Equity at The Wilderness Society. Based outside of St. Louis, Jenny is currently working as the Learning and Communications Specialist at MIBA and the founder of Blanket Fort Gatherings, where she designs immersive fandom-driven literary events.
