Author/Illustrator Program - MIBA Conversation Session 2

MIBA is growing its Author/Illustrator program, with the goal of building stronger, healthier pipelines between independent authors and illustrators and independent bookstores. Program participants are invited to help shape what comes next.

Rather than a survey, MIBA is hosting direct conversations. In about 40 minutes, participants will swap ideas, share what’s working and what isn’t in their work with indie stores, and explore what would help most.

Ideas under consideration include:

• Dedicated author/illustrator time at Spring Road Trip and Heartland, such as informal meet-ups or a pre-Heartland gathering
• A peer-support space on Discord
• New online resources in the MIBA library
• A monthly or quarterly meet-up
