Bookstore overview
We are a woman and queer owned bookstore in downtown Kanakee, an hour south of Chicago, selling used & new books as well as local author titles and locally handcrafted gifts. We welcome all to our cozy lounge area, open during business hours, for reading, chatting with friends, or doing work with our complimentary Wi-Fi. We host a monthly "bring what you're reading" style book club called Literary Spectrum in partnership with the Kankakee Area LGBTQ Network. Our focus is on inclusivity, affordability, and accessibility.
